Game Mode

I believe any of the Rush mode as it would be the same as Frontlines.

Quote
There are four multiplayer modes. Rush, on display in the beta, setsthe offensive team a phasing series of objectives to destroy on a morelinear map. Squad Rush pits two smaller teams against one another, without vehicles, and with only two objectives. Squad Deathmatch pits four squads against one another, but Battlefield’s defining open-playgame mode, Conquest, returns unspoiled.

Server is currently in Conquest, I'll withhold my vote until someone can explain the different modes for a noob like me.

I do believe the Squad Modes make the server 4vs4.

Actually i never really thought of rush mode in that way, but yeah stops all the silly base capping from behind as it happens in conquest mode and focuses all the fighting at the front like front lines :).

Sorry, still none the wiser. Perhaps someone could post an explanation of the diff game types, so people actually know what they are voting for.

I like the sound of Rush, but have no real idea what it means.

Deffender and attacker has a frontline that moves back as points are taken

Nevermind, found the details for all, and updated first post.  ;D

It would seem Conquest is new to the retail game, and the beta was Rush. Not having played either, I'll vote once I have.  8)

A brief explanation of rush:

Squads a must, any player can spawn off any squad member.

In rush defenders only defend 2 points. Attackers once they take the 2 points the front moves back. If attackres take 4 fronts they win. Each front has tickets against the attackers so if defenders take all tickets on any front they win.

Basically defenders kill to try and take tickets and defend a point. Attackers kill and try an take points. Medic help attackers get back tickets ...

Bear in mind attackers may have a squad member who hides anwhere in the front - this can include the base. They will then spawn off them.  Winning as an individual may be due to many factors not just killing e,g squad  spawns.

Defenders cannot get to attackers first spawn on first frontline but can get to every other base on every other front. Defenders may push such that they trap attackers in base to take tickets and stop attackers getting out.

Terrain changes from 1 game to the next, defenders may clear out ground in front so attackers can't hide and get to the points without havig to run across open ground. Open ground = death.

Also there is a single drone, defender can only kill the droner if they can getto the attackers base, as they are hidden from a snipers.

Also the attackers can not go to any back points unless the first two points are taken, so you cant steal vehicles and stuff, which is a great idea and as yummy said defenders cant attack attacking teams spawn point you get a warning for 10 secs and if you not out you die.

So in a way it is exactly like FFOW but added bonus defenders cant spawn camp attackers point (only first spawn point though) in front lines you could.  And attackers cant go around to back point unless first two points have been taken, front lines you could go back to any point and steal assets. So it concentrates all the fighting at 2 points, but as i said defenders can spawn camp the attackers base but not the first one. In all honestly if a defending squad is in your spawn point the whole team is not doing well and yes they can steal your vehicles. I found it really hard to go into a attackers spawn point after the first point has been lost anyway as most have hills and very hard to get in, usually spawn camping doesn't last long. Attacking team can never go back behind the defending team at all at anytime.

Also once the first two points have been taken the attacking team can spawn at the first point or any point that has been taken, in some ways not fair that attacking team can not go behind the defenders spawn point yet the defending team can but only after the first point has been taken, but honestly it is not a good idea. I have been there and done it with some squad and while you are killing them when they spawn or take there assests from behind your points are not being defended and usually those points get lost very quickly, as there are less people there to defend it and that is the defending teams primary objective to defend those two points.
